Affordable Early Childhood Education
It is our vision for every child to have access to early childhood education at Northshire Day School, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. NDS offers need-based tuition relief to assist families in affording early childhood education.
Northshire Day School is dedicated to working with all families in need of financial assistance and applies a consistent process in awarding aid. We encourage families to apply for the Childcare Financial Assistance Program (CCFAP) and our Tuition Relief program.
We encourage families to apply for Child Care Financial Assistance (Vermont subsidy) prior to seeking tuition relief. If you are receiving any Child Care subsidy you are still eligible to apply for tuition assistance.
We want to provide you with some information about our process and what to expect prior to next school year. We have set a fundraising goal of $100,000 for tuition relief; any money raised beyond that will also be applied to the tuition relief fund. Tuition relief will be based on a full time 40 hours a week schedule. Any contracted hours above and beyond 40 hours will be billed at the full rate. We will be determining relief based on families’ income to cost ratio, among other factors such as hours and family size. All applications are due by Friday, April 28th and decisions will be made by Friday, June 2nd.
Once awarded, tuition relief will be distributed as a weekly tuition reduction on your child’s account for the year. Families receiving Tuition Relief are required to participate in the Family Tree Program at Northshire Day School.
