Pre-school Staff

 

Becky, Molly and Rachel

Here is a little something about the staff in our preschool room:

 

Becky has worked at the day school for many years. She brings with her a wealth of early childhood education information and also has taken a 3-credit college course in early childhood development and a curriculum course focusing on early childhood education and the importance of utilizing a preschool curriculum. Becky has attended many workshops revolving around early childhood education and is First Aid and CPR certified. Becky had spent her earlier years working in our toddler room and has worked for many years in our preschool room. Becky has her CDA, Child Development Associate and is wonderful with the kids and provides a great preschool program for them.  ecky knows what each individual child needs and organizes her program to fit their needs. Her experience and knowledge of preschool age children make her preschool room a great learning experience for everyone involved.

 

Molly joins our preschool team having an Associate’s Degree in Early Education. She began her career in early education after graduating from Dean College working in a child care center with three, four, and five year old children. Molly worked in that setting from 2002 to 2015. Not only does Molly have experience with preschool age, but also has experience with older ages as she babysits frequently. Molly is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and enjoys teaching and growing with children in her care.

 

Rachel has two children, Dillan and Aria, both of whom attend NDS. She grew up in Dorset moved to New York and came back to Vermont where she lives in the town of Pawlet. Rachel enjoys hiking, cooking and making jewelry when she finds the time to. She took the necessary coursework to get her LNA last year and is looking forward to beginning coursework in Early Childhood Education this fall.. Rachel has years of experience working with the elderly, children with learning disabilities, and individuals with complex medical conditions. Rachel is CPR and 1st Aid certified.
