Infant One Staff

Billie Jean, Kelly and Michelle

Billie Jean has been with us for many years. She began her time at NDS as a substitute teacher and than began working full time in our preschool room. When we moved into the new building Billie Jean wanted to switch hats and work in our infant room. We hated to see her leave the preschool age children but knew with her warm caring personality the infants would be in great care. Billie Jean brings to us a wealth of knowledge revolving around early childhood care and education. In 2005 Billie Jean obtained her CDA, Child Development Associate. CDA is the only major national effort to improve childcare by evaluating and recognizing the skills of individuals providing care. It is awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C. which represents the early childhood profession. Every candidate for the CDA credential is observed working with young children or families by an early childhood professional. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work with families to develop children's physical and intellectual capabilities in a safe and healthy learning environment. Billie Jean is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Kelly has been with us for many years. She worked in our pre-k room for eight years in our old building and did a wonderful job with our 4 year olds. When we moved into our new building Kelly wanted to sadly leave her four year olds and begin working with the infants. She has been with our infants for the past three years. Kelly has a calm way with the infants in her care and enjoys holding them, reading to them and all that goes into infant care. Kelly has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and with that provides her infants with a great amount love, nurturing, and knowledge around the care and education of young children. Kelly is CPR and First Aid Certified.

We are fortunate to have Michelle back in our infant room. She truly loves the infant and is awesome with them. Michelle has her degree in early education and is a calm, caring and compassionate person. Her experience and love for the infants is a great asset to our infant wing.
